Sarah Marie Martin and Nicholas Brophy November 1, 2003 Paradise Island, Bahamas
SAVE-THE-DATE The wedding took place on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. The bride knew that most guests would make a vacation out of the trip, and wanted to plan accordingly by sending the save-the date early. The mailer had a breezy laid back feel to help guests get a feel for the island.
INVITATION The island theme was carried over to the invitation. Palm trees and a hammock were used along with soft ink colors to communicate the theme. Since the wedding was on November 1, the bride and groom threw a Halloween costume party the night before the wedding. A card inviting guests to the event was enclosed.
REHEARSAL DINNER INVITATION A small number of guests received an invitation to the rehearsal dinner and post-wedding breakfast. A fine artist was hired by Bride Paper to create the hibiscus watercolor. The watercolor was then printed on velum and folded over the invitation.
WELCOME BAG Bride Paper worked with Sarah Marie and Nick to find items that fit with their island wedding. The canvas bag was used to hold beach items such as suntan lotion, water bottles and a Frisbee.
PROGRAM Bride Paper suggested that the program be a fan in order to continue the island feel. Bride Paper then added strands of ribbon and sea shells to give the fan a finished look.
ANNOUNCEMENT Sarah Marie's mother lives in Texas and wanted to send an announcement to people in the Houston area that were not invited to the wedding. The design mirrored the invitation.
